St. Louis Catholic is excited to welcome Carol Anglin, a renowned teaching artist, choreographer and artistic director, to our campus in October 2019.  Anglin will teach our dance students Master Classes in Modern Dance and our choir students Stage Movement, and she will also hold an academic/professional performing arts Q&A session open to all students from 8-8:45 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, in the Cafeteria.

**The Q&A session is open to all students who are interested in pursuing careers in visual, media and/or performing arts.  Please sign up in the Counseling Department by Thursday, October 10.**

Carol received her MFA in Modern Dance from the University of Oklahoma.  For over 34 years, she owned Carol Anglin Dancenter in Shreveport, La., where she taught ballet, tap, jazz and modern to students of all ages from all socioeconomic backgrounds.  She has recently been named Regional Dance America/SouthEast’s 2020 Adjudicator.  Click here for a full description of her expertise.  In addition to her professional experience staging, directing and choreographing productions, Anglin is also a visual artist who studied with leading faculty members at The Art Institute of Chicago.  Certified to teach K-12, she received her degree in Art Education from Louisiana Tech with an emphasis in painting and sculpture.  This experience led to her involvement in design and execution of costumes, lighting, backdrops and sets.

Anglin’s visit is made possible thanks to a grant written by Saints Dance Instructor Tricia Barrow this summer with some assistance from the Fine Arts Department.  The support of the St. Louis Catholic community for the Performing Arts program in its inaugural year gives our students the opportunity to experience guest artists like Carol Anglin.
