Figaro Scholarship
The Figaro Scholarship is for African American and Native American Catholic students. For more information please contact Deacon Ed Lavine, Director of Cultural Diversity at the Diocese of Lake Charles, at 337-439-7436.
The Bishop’s Scholarship
The Bishop’s Scholarship is given to each individual school within the Diocese so that families desiring a Catholic Education can attend St. Louis Catholic. A committee at St. Louis Catholic determines whether a student receives this scholarship.
Students with exceptionalities
Students with exceptionalities are eligible to apply to the School Choice Program, which provides families with tuition assistance to attend participating schools like St. Louis Catholic that offer special needs programs. Tuition assistance is 50% of the state per pupil funding for the student’s school district (approximately $2,500), and cannot exceed the cost of the private school tuition. Families are responsible for paying the difference if tuition exceeds that amount.
