The Saints wrestling season finished strong as Division III state runner-ups in Bossier City, and the Saints cheerleading team added a second national championship to its 2018-19 season, taking home first place in the Worldwide Spirit Association competition in New Orleans.  Those were just two highlights of the weekend in St. Louis Catholic athletics.

The cheerleaders also won No. 1 in stunt building.  Junior wrestler Alex Yokubaitis won his third state title as the top seed at 120 pounds after winning at 113 last year and 106 as a freshman as the Saints finished behind fellow Southwest Louisiana school Basile in the Division III tournament.  Click here for more results.

Girls basketball playoff brackets are out, and the Lady Saints are seeded No. 2 in Division II.  They await the winner of No. 15 Academy of our Lady and No. 18 De La Salle on Monday, Feb. 18.  And cheer on the boys basketball team as they celebrate Senior Night Tuesday at 6:45 p.m. vs. South Beauregard.
