Principal Announcement

March 22, 2018

Dear members of the St. Louis Catholic High School community,

As Rector and President of the Board of Pastors, I am delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Bradley to the position of Principal, effective May 16, 2018. This appointment is the culmination of an extensive national search conducted by our consulting firm, Partners in Mission School Leadership Search Solutions. Partners in Mission (www.partnersinmission.com) is devoted exclusively to Catholic education, and widely viewed as the nation’s leading counsel in developing excellence in all areas of school advancement and leadership.

Through this robust and intensive search process, numerous highly qualified candidates were screened and vetted, with two finalists being identified as moving forward. These finalists recently spent individual days on campus meeting with constituencies from our school community – including students, faculty, staff, administrators, parents, alumni, and board members. The feedback offered by the search committee and many within our community, as well as Mr. Bradley’s extensive understanding of the mission of Catholic education, gives me great confidence in his ability to serve as the school’s next Principal. I am confident that Andrew will serve our community well as the visionary leader we set out to identify and secure. Together, we will now further develop our strategic plans for St. Louis Catholic High School as we strive to bring Christ to life in our young men and women in all we do.

Mr. Bradley most recently served as Principal of Saint Francis Catholic Academy in Gainesville, FL and Archbishop John Carrol High School in Radnor, PA.  With over 11 years of Catholic education teaching and administrative experience in elementary and secondary environments, Andrew possesses the requisite skill sets to lead our spiritual, academic, and overall school operations. Under his leadership, school communities have experienced increased enrollments, improved academic performance, and strengthened constituent engagement. With a penchant for strategic planning and all areas of school advancement, Andrew is well-versed in creating the conditions necessary for market leadership.

As a life-long learner, Mr. Bradley earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government, with Minors in Spanish and Theology, from Georgetown University. Additionally, he holds a Master of Arts in Secondary Education from The University of New Mexico, as well as a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University.

In accepting the position, Mr. Bradley stated, “I am incredibly honored and humbled to be chosen as the next principal of St. Louis Catholic High School. As a Catholic school leader, I was enormously impressed with the school’s traditions and its limitless potential. It was readily apparent during my visit that the many enthusiastic and dedicated constituents at St. Louis Catholic – students, faculty and staff, parents, board members, and especially Father Long – shared a passion for the school. I am excited to be a part of such a dynamic community and help execute an innovative and forward-thinking vision for its future.”

Mr. Bradley will formally assume the responsibilities of the position on May 16, 2018. We will host an informal reception welcoming him to our school community during our Crawfish Boil on Friday, April 27, 2018.  Andrew, his wife Nina, and their five children will be moving into the area the first week of May. For the remainder of this school year, Deacon Viau will continue to lead our school community and will ensure that the transition of our educational leadership will be as seamless as possible.

Please join me in welcoming Andrew and his family to our school and Lake Charles communities.
