The following is a letter to St. Louis Catholic families distributed by email Thursday, Nov. 7, from Mia Orgeron:

We are so excited to welcome our grandparents and veterans to campus tomorrow (Friday, Nov. 8).  The celebration of these ‘Saints among us’ begins at 12:30 p.m.

As you may know, our parking presents some challenges as we have more than 300 drivers on campus and are welcoming close to 600 visitors. To accommodate our guests, we are asking that students be dropped off to school or carpool with a friend to free up parking spaces.

**If a student drives to school, they will be asked to park along 7th Street and 9th Street.  This will enable our special guests to park in the Krajicek Gym parking lot and the Bank Street parking lot.**

The order of the day is as follows:

  • Students will go to their A-D-G-H period classes (60 minutes each) and have lunch at 12:02 p.m.

  • At 12:30, students with last names A-J will meet their grandparents in the main building (Commons & cafeteria) and enjoy coffee & gourmet desserts first.

  • At 12:30, students with last names K-Z will meet their grandparents in the gym to take pictures first and walk their grandparents around school.

  • Around 12:50, the groups will switch locations.

  • NOTE – Pictures cost $5 and can be paid with cash or check.  Proceeds benefit our Parent Guild!

  • The Grandparents/Veterans program will begin promptly at 1:30 p.m. in Krajicek Gym.  It will feature our Band, Cheerleaders, Show Choir, student tributes and more!

  • Dismissal for all students will be around 2 p.m. – at the conclusion of the program.  Also a reminder that students do not have school Monday in honor of Veterans Day.

We thank you for helping us for this very special occasion.  If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
