-Dual Enrollment

St. Louis Catholic High School offers 14 dual enrollment courses in eight subjects, with college credits earned through McNeese State University. Credits are transferable to other institutions as outlined by the Louisiana Board of Regents. 

Dual enrollment programs allow students to simultaneously enroll in a course for both high school and college credit. Courses are taught on the St. Louis campus, and students are eligible to take one dual enrollment course each semester. Instructors are approved to teach the college course, and credit is earned through McNeese State University. Students who successfully complete dual enrollment courses will earn college credit that will count toward their eventual degrees. Should a student choose to attend another institution, credits are transferable to other institutions as outlined by the Louisiana Board of Regents. 

The Louisiana Board of Regents requires the following standards be met in order to qualify for dual enrollment courses:
  • Minimum GPA of 2.75
  • Composite ACT score of 19
  • Math ACT score of 19
  • English ACT score of 18
The following dual enrollment courses, with credit earned through McNeese State University, are currently available:
  • ART 251: Intro to Visual Arts 
  • MATH 113: College Algebra
  • MATH 170: Pre-cal College Algebra 
  • MATH 175: Precalculus (Trigonometry) 
  • MATH 231: Intro into Stats 
  • ENGLISH 101/102 (English IV)
  • LATIN 201/202 
  • PHILOSOPHY 201 
  • PSYCHOLOGY 101 
  • RELIGION 201

Advanced Placement In addition to dual enrollment, St. Louis Catholic High School offers a number of Advanced Placement classes, for which students may test for college credit at the end of each school year.
