St. Louis Catholic Holds Voter Registration Drive

“If you don’t think for yourself, the government will think for you.”

That’s how St. Louis Catholic senior Travis Hinton described the importance of exercising the right to vote this Election Day, Nov. 6, which happens to be his 18th birthday.  He spoke to KPLC-TV on Monday afternoon during a voter registration drive in the St. Louis Catholic Commons to celebrate Voter Registration Week. St. Louis Catholic congratulates its 2018 Homecoming Court! The 15 girls will be recognized at Mass on campus Oct. 3 at 9 a.m., and the 2018 Homecoming Queen will be announced at halftime of the Saints’ Homecoming football game Oct. 5 against Iowa. Pictured are:

Congratulations to St. Louis Catholic AP Scholars!

St. Louis Catholic is proud to announce that 43 Saints students earned 2018 AP Scholar Awards, recognizing their academic performance on AP exams throughout their four years of AP testing.

2018 graduates Jack Clement and Timothy Curol are National AP Scholars, an honor granted to students in the United States who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams. Ten other 2018 graduates were named AP Scholars with Distinction (an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams), and six current seniors earned the AP Scholar with Honor award along with two 2018 graduates (an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.

In addition, 23 St. Louis Catholic students were named AP Scholars for receiving scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams. Click here to download the full list of 2018 honorees.

Homecoming 2018 Parade Applications Now Open

St. Louis Catholic High School invites you to participate in our annual Homecoming Parade beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3.  We will also have a Saints Pep Rally immediately following the parade at 6:30 p.m. in the Krajicek Gym.  As always, everyone is invited to celebrate this great tradition. To participate, please fill out and submit the Google form below.

The parade begins at the corner of Bank and 9th Streets.  It will proceed east on 9th Street until Enterprise Blvd.  We will turn south on Enterprise until 11th Street, move west on 11th Street until Kirkman Street, move north on Kirkman until 7th Street, and turn into the parking lot of the St. Louis Catholic High School gym on 7th Street.

In addition, we invite all St. Louis Catholic alumni to attend:

  • School Mass honoring Homecoming Court & Alumni – Oct. 3 at 9 a.m.
  • Alumni Tailgate – Friday, Oct. 5, starting at 4 p.m. at Cougar Stadium
  • Homecoming football game – Friday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. at Cougar Stadium on 1st Avenue, where we will announce our 2018 Homecoming Queen at halftime.

St. Louis Catholic is pleased to announce the addition of a Director of Admissions to its Advancement department.

Heather Ieyoub, a former news director and anchor at KVHP FOX29 in Lake Charles, will be tasked with leading the way to increasing enrollment and working closely with St. Louis Catholic’s partner schools.  She is a graduate of McNeese State and married to John Ieyoub (St. Louis Catholic Class of 1989). They have four children – Hunter (St. Louis Catholic graduate attending LSU Law School), Gambrelle (current student at St. Louis Catholic), Anderson and Georgia.

“I am beyond excited to join the St. Louis Catholic family,” Ieyoub said. “As a St. Louis Catholic parent, I know what a wonderful learning environment this is for our children. With God’s guidance and my strong Catholic faith, I look forward to working with everyone as we shine a bright light on the amazing staff and hard-working students of St. Louis Catholic High School.
